The High Commission has not been represented at any hearings related to the murder of Adrian St John. Consular staff do not normally attend court hearings, although they can attend the first and last day of a trial and be present at the verdict. A representative of the British High Commission in Trinidad and Tobago will observe the next hearing on 6 February 2017. This is on an exceptional basis.
