Defence: Shipbuilding

Question to the Ministry of Defence:
To ask the Secretary of State for Defence, whether his Department requires companies that have been awarded shipbuilding contracts to undergo ongoing credit checks after contracts have been awarded.

In answer to Questions 62719 and 62724 I refer the right hon. Member to the answer my hon. Friend, the then Minister for Defence Procurement (Jeremy Quin), gave him on 10 September 2021 in response to Question 44205.
It would be inappropriate for the UK Government to comment on the commercial activities of other Governments.
