Question to the Ministry of Defence:
To ask the Secretary of State for Defence, how many Royal Navy personnel have been deployed aboard warships for a duration exceeding (a) three, (b) six and (c) nine months in each of the last five years.
This question was answered on 7th February 2017
Royal Navy (RN) ships' and submarines' complements are not fixed and vary depending on the nature of the deployment. All RN warships deploy with the personnel required to meet their operational tasking.
Identifying the personnel assigned aboard deployed warships for the periods requested could be provided only at disproportionate cost.
