Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:

To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, if she will make an estimate of the number of children that have been registered as having a learning disability in each of the last five years.

The information requested is not held centrally. NHS Digital collects information on the number of children on learning disability registers for some general practitioner (GP) practices. However, this is not representative of the total number of children with a learning disability in England, as the coverage of the associated dataset is restricted to approximately 56% of GP practices.
