Question to the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government:

To ask the Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government, what plans he has to introduce a cost floor for homes sold through the right to acquire scheme.

The Cost Floor for the Right to Buy is designed to safeguard a landlord who has spent money on the acquisition and repair and maintenance of a property.

A provision to provide a similar safeguard for the Right to Acquire is set out in existing legislation.
