To ask the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, what recent assessment he has made of the adequacy of his departmental budget.

Defra group’s budget for this financial year is £6.6billion (4.5bn resource and 2.1bn capital) and we are on track to spend within it. In line with good financial management, the department regularly reviews its financial position to manage pressures and maximise delivery.
