Question to the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs:
To ask the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, how much his Department has spent on (a) internal and (b) external communications in (i) 2016, (ii) 2017, (iii) 2018, (iv) 2019, (v) 2020, (vi) 2021 and (vii) 2022.

The information requested is not held centrally and to obtain it would incur disproportionate costs. Defra publishes details on spend on a monthly basis on GOV.UK as part of routine government transparency arrangements.
