Question

To ask the Secretary of State for Business, Innovation and Skills, with reference to paragraph 2.201 of the Summer Budget 2015, HC 264, if he will hold a consultation on the introduction of the apprenticeship levy.

The Government is introducing a UK-wide levy to help fund the increase in quantity and quality of apprenticeship training. The levy will support post-16 apprenticeships in England.

There will be formal engagement with business on the implementation of the levy and further details will be set out in the Spending review.
