Question to the Ministry of Defence:

To ask the Secretary of State for Defence, whether the headset used for the Ajax Armoured Fighting Vehicle is being used currently on any other defence platform.

The in-service headset used during trials of Ajax Armoured Fighting Vehicles is also in use on other armoured vehicle platforms including Warrior, all variants of Combat Vehicle Reconnaissance (Tracked), AS90, Bulldog, Terrier, Viking, Multiple Launch Rocket System, Beach Recovery Vehicle, Titan, Trojan and FUCHS platforms.

As part of ongoing investigations into headsets used on all in-service armoured vehicles, a Safety Panel has taken the precautionary measure to limit the time crews may operate Warrior and Combat Vehicle Reconnaissance (Tracked) platforms pending further investigation.
