We are investing £100 million in prison security to reduce illicit items, including drugs, getting into prions. This includes x-ray body scanners, trace detection machines, and additional drug sniffer dogs, to help keep staff and prisoners safe.

Procedures are in place to reduce the risk of physical contact with substances, and of ingestion or inhalation. We provide an employee support service for anybody who may be affected by issues at work.
