Question to the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office:

To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs, pursuant to the Answer of 2 July 2025 to Question 62580 on Chagos Islands: Sovereignty, whether he has budgeted for the first payment to Mauritius to be in financial year 2025-26; and if he will make it his policy to announce the budget lines each element of the payments to Mauritius will come from prior to the publication of the annual accounts.
