Question to the Ministry of Defence:
To ask the Secretary of State for Defence, how many military working dogs are in service in the (a) Royal Navy Police, (b) Royal Military Police and (c) Royal Air Force Police; and what duties those dogs perform in each such service.
The Royal Navy Police and Royal Military Police do not have military working dogs. The Royal Air Force Police currently have 203 dogs and they are employed in roles such as general purpose policing, protection, vehicle search, arms explosive search, drugs detection, patrol, and explosive detection.
