Question to the HM Treasury:

To ask Mr Chancellor of the Exchequer, if he will take steps to enable the use of older people's housing equity to contribute to the cost of funding social care.

The government will set out proposals in a green paper to put the social care system on a more secure and sustainable long-term footing.
