Data on the number of parents who have sent their children to the UK as unaccompanied asylum seekers is not recorded centrally. The UNICEF report “Neither Safe Nor Sound” provides accounts of interviews with children in northern France whose decision to migrate is described as part of a family strategy, or a result of a decision by their parents.
