Question to the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government:

To ask the Secretary of State for Housing, Communities and Local Government, with reference to her Department's consultation entitled Reform of planning committees: technical consultation, published on 28 May 2025, whether the mandatory training for planning committee members will include training not listed in that consultation.

The content of mandatory training for members of planning committees will be set through regulation. We will engage with the sector on details of the training and will publish further details in due course.
