Question to the Leader of the House:

To ask the Leader of the House, whether the right hon. Member for Tatton will continue to (a) have access to Privy Council papers, (b) attend full meetings of the Privy Council and (c) receive sensitive information on Privy Counsellor terms after his appointment as Editor of the London Evening Standard.

Only serving Government Ministers have a role in the Privy Council’s day-to-day business. Privy Counsellors who have left government do not attend Privy Council meetings, nor are they consulted on Privy Council business.
