The size and composition of a UK Carrier Strike Group will be set by the deployment requirements as determined during operational planning. The associated support ships will deliver food, stores, ordnance and fuel in support of the Carrier Strike Group, facilitating Carrier Enabled Power Projection. Under current plans the inaugural Carrier Strike Group will be supported by a replenishment ship and a tanker.
