Question to the Department for Transport:
To ask the Secretary of State for Transport, when he expects a new Chair of HS2 Ltd to be appointed.

The appointment of the HS2 Ltd Chair is a live recruitment process, therefore for confidentiality reasons the details cannot be disclosed.
The process is robust and has been undertaken in line with the Governance Code on Public Appointments. Ministers will be taking a decision as soon as possible.
