Question to the Wales Office:
To ask the Secretary of State for Wales, what assessment he has made of the effect of the fall in the number of applications from EU nationals applying to study in universities in Wales since the EU referendum on the Welsh economy.
The UK continues to attract the second highest number of overseas students (EU and non-EU) to tertiary education, after the US. This year we have also seen a rise in the number of 18 year olds from overseas applying to study in the UK. More broadly, figures for non-EU international students have remained steady.
