Question to the Department for Levelling Up, Housing & Communities:

To ask the Secretary of State for Housing, Communities and Local Government, pursuant to the written answer on Economic Growth: Environment Protection and Planning Permission on 29 June 2020, and with reference to the Prime Minister’s speech of 30 June 2020, (a) what is his Department’s assessment of the impact of Project Speed on planning regulations and environmental protections and (b) what recent discussions he has had with the (i) Prime Minister and (ii) Chancellor on amending planning regulations and environmental protections.
