Question to the Home Office:

To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department, whether her Department has considered reviewing the standard police caution to include a reference to the potential impact of legal advice to remain silent on a defendant’s defence.

A review of the standard police caution is not being considered for the reasons set out in my earlier answer to written question UIN 73157.
