Question to the Ministry of Defence:
To ask the Secretary of State for Defence, how much his Department spent on (a) intermural and (b) extramural research in each financial year between 2010-11 and 2014-15.
Information on intramural and extramural expenditure for financial years (FY) between 2010-11 to 2013-14 (inclusive of non-recoverable VAT at current prices) is shown below. Expenditure for financial year 2014-15 is currently being compiled and will be available later this year following clearance by the Office of National Statistics.
