Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:

To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, what steps he is taking to help increase access to proficient care staff trained to deal with complex care needs for those with motor neurone disease.

Through Skills for Care, we are providing a range of resources and practical toolkits for social care providers to attract, train and retain staff. This includes distributing funding annually through the Workforce Development Fund, which enables employers to apply for financial support towards the development of staff.
