‘Data saves lives: reshaping health and social care with data’ was published in June 2022 and sets out plans to harness the potential of data in health and care, while maintaining the highest standards of privacy and ethics. We have established a programme designed to increase public confidence in how their data is used, including an expert external advisory group. Additionally, the Department regularly monitors measures of public trust to inform this work.
