Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:
To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, what assessment his Department has made of the adequacy of NHS treatment protocols for chronic urinary tract infections.
No specific assessment has been made by the Department. The National Health Service treats patients with recurrent urinary tract infections (UTIs) and chronic UTIs using the same care pathway until it becomes evident that symptoms are not resolving.
