Question to the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office:

To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs, pursuant to the Answer of 3 November 2022 to Question 73847 on Ukraine: Energy, what recent discussions he has had with (a) UK manufacturers and (b) UK allies on ensuring the supply of generators and replacement equipment for facilities damaged by Russian attacks.

The Foreign Secretary met with G7 Foreign Ministers on 3-4 November to discuss practical support as Ukraine prepares for winter, including coordinated efforts to help repair and defend Ukraine's energy and water facilities following Russian attacks on critical infrastructure.

In March 2022, BEIS set up a Ukraine Electricity Network Support Taskforce, involving distribution network operators and the Energy Networks Association. Through this Taskforce, BEIS has funded the procurement of more than 850 mobile generators for Ukraine.
