Data on releases on Childcare Resettlement Licence (CRL) is published regularly in the Offender Management Statistics: https://www.gov.uk/government/statistics/offender-management-statistics-quarterly-april-to-june-2023.

CRL is a form of ROTL which allows primary carers of children under 18 to be released to help maintain the relationship with their children. As with any ROTL there is a stringent risk assessment, and the release must be in the child’s best interests.
