Canada is one of the UK's closest allies and the British Army Training Unit Suffield (BATUS) continues to be a vital training base for the British Army. The British Army and the Canadian Armed Forces continue to engage in joint military activities in Suffield, including UK Armoured Infantry exercises in 2022. We continue to work closely with the Canadian Armed Forces and the Canadian Government to review activities at the base.
