Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:

To ask the Secretary of State for Health, if he will make it his policy to increase NHS spending in line with increases in GDP.

The Government is committed to increasing the National Health Service budget to ensure patients can get the care they need. NHS spending will increase by £8 billion in real terms to the end of the Parliament. But the funding of the NHS is inextricably linked to other factors such as the performance of the economy and the impact of Brexit.
