Question to the Ministry of Defence:

To ask the Secretary of State for Defence, with reference to the NAO report The Equipment Plan 2021 to 2031 published on 21 February, what assessment he has made of the adequacy of the £700 million made available by HM Treasury to deal with inflation each year from 2022-23.

We continue to monitor the impact of inflation on the Department's budget. Inflation remains a pressing concern for Defence, and we are taking steps to actively manage this. An updated Equipment Plan for years 2022-2032 is currently due for publication later this year.
