Question to the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office:
To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs, with reference to the publication, FCDO Areas of Research Interest (ARI), of 11 May 2026, paragraph 10.2, through what mechanisms her Department will research political regime transitions.

I refer the Hon Member to the introductory sections of the document in question, which explain how academic and other researchers doing work in relevant areas of interest can engage with the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office to discuss opportunities for collaboration, information-sharing and other mechanisms to improve the Department's evidence-base.
