Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:

To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, whether he has had recent discussions with the British Medical Association on the potential impact of his policies on flexible accrual for NHS pensions on the retention of senior clinicians in the NHS.

I attended recent discussions between the Chancellor of the Exchequer and the British Medical Association, during which the potential impact of flexible accrual was raised. I also met separately with the Deputy Chair of the British Medical Association.
