Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:
To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, what data his Department holds on the number of people who have been screened for malnutrition in England in each of the last 10 years.
Information on screening for malnutrition is not held centrally. Local health and care providers are responsible for malnutrition services based on the needs of the local population. Integrated care boards coordinate and commission health and care services to improve population health and reduce inequalities. There are tools and guidance in place through a range of organisations, including the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence, to assist health and social care professionals identify and treat malnutrition, and to access appropriate training.
