Question to the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office:

To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs, if he will make an assessment of the implications for his policies of estimates made by the Bahrain Institute for Rights and Democracy, published on 16 November 2022, on (a) voter turnout and (b) the number of people who were excluded from the electoral roll in the Bahraini elections on 12 November 2022.

The Government has taken note of the Bahrain Institute for Rights and Democracy report published on 16 November 2022. Elections are ongoing and it would be inappropriate to comment more at this stage.
