Question to the HM Treasury:
To ask Mr Chancellor of the Exchequer, what discussions he has had with the devolved administrations on potential Barnett consequentials arising from the Thames Tideway Tunnel project.
I refer the honourable gentleman to the answer provided to him on 6 July 2015 (4460). No such discussions have been had on this subject, as the likelihood of the UK Government’s support package being called upon is remote, and there will be no spending by the UK Government unless it is called upon.
I would also refer the honourable gentleman to the written statement made by Rory Stewart MP on 7 September 2015, reference HCWS175, which provides further information on the project.
