Question to the Ministry of Justice:
To ask the Secretary of State for Justice, what assessment his Department has made of the effect of the introduction of employment tribunal fees on access to justice for women subjected to pregnancy-related detriment or dismissal by an employer; and what steps he plans to take to improve access to justice for such women.
On 11 June we announced the start of the post-implementation review of the introduction of fees in the Employment Tribunals. The review will seek to assess the effect fees have had including, so far as possible, any differential impact on people with protected characteristics and the types of case they bring.
