First Time Buyers: Interest Rates

Question to the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government:
To ask the Secretary of State for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities, if he will make an assessment of the impact of trends in the level of interest rates on the ability of people on the average income to buy a first home.

We continue to work closely with HM Treasury to examine the mortgage market, including for first time buyers.
