To ask the Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport, what progress he has made on introduction of tax relief for local newspapers.

Government is consulting on the introduction of a business rates relief to support local newspapers in England as they adapt to new technology and changing circumstances. The consultation will close on 30 September 2015. Further details can be found here:
