Question to the Ministry of Defence:

To ask the Secretary of State for Defence, pursuant to the Answer of 12 September 2022 to Question 48226 on Afghanistan: Refugees, whether any further data breaches of personal data relating to Afghan Relocations and Assistance Policy applicants have occurred since May 2022; and what steps he has taken to help prevent further data breaches since that date.

Since May 2022, there have been no further known data breaches of personal data relating to ARAP applicants.

A thorough review of processes has been undertaken and changes made to prevent a recurrence, including implementing a new information management system to process casework. The ARAP team also sought recommendations from Defence Digital which have been applied to further improve the team's handling and protection of casework data.
