Question to the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office:

To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs, whether he plans to extend diplomatic protection to more British citizens detained by Iran.

We continue to urge the Iranian Government to immediately release all arbitrarily detained British dual-nationals, and enable them to return to their families. We have consistently raised this with the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. We will consider all requests for diplomatic protection based on the individual circumstances of each case. We will continue to act in a way that we believe will lead to the best outcomes for these individuals.
