Question to the Ministry of Defence:

To ask the Secretary of State for Defence, what the average delay has been for major battlefield capability programmes commissioned since 2014.

We inherited considerable delays and cost overruns on a large number of defence procurement projects. We are working to address those through measures set ot in the Defence Industrial Strategy. Further announcements will come as part of the Defence Investment Plan.
