Question to the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office:

To ask Her Majesty's Government, further to the Written Answer by the Minister of State for the Middle East on 14 November 2018 (199906), what assessment they have made of the extent to which the proposed extradition of Hakeem Ali Alaraibi by Thailand to Bahrain would be consistent with international human rights law; and whether officials at the British Embassy in Bangkok have made any representations to the government of Thailand about this case.

We are aware that Hakeem Al-Araibi is currently in detention in Thailand. This is a matter for the Governments of Thailand, Bahrain and Australia.
