Magistrates: Recruitment

Question to the Ministry of Justice:
To ask Her Majesty's Government what is the maximum number of magistrates that each magistrate advisory committee in England and Wales can recruit each year.
This question was answered on 21st February 2019
The number of magistrates required for each local justice area is agreed annually by the judiciary, in consultation with HMCTS. There is no prescribed maximum number.
