Question to the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office:

To ask His Majesty's Government what assessment they have made of reports from Sudan’s Humanitarian Aid Commission that on 27 June Rapid Support Forces targeted an aid truck travelling to El Obeid.

Reports of continued targeted attacks against humanitarian workers and their operations by the warring parties are deeply concerning. I refer the Noble Lord to the response provided to his previous questions HL1310-12, highlighting the Foreign Secretary's joint statement with her international counterparts on 23 June, which specifically addressed the attacks on humanitarian workers and called for an immediate end to the assault on El Obeid.
