Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:
To ask His Majesty's Government how much funding they allocated to dementia research in the financial years (1) 2022–23, and (2) 2023–24.

The Department delivers dementia research via the National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR). Between the financial years 2022/23 and 2023/24, the NIHR allocated £30.1 million to dementia research through its research programmes. In the financial year 2022/23, UK Research and Innovation (UKRI) allocated £64.8 million to dementia research. Allocated funding figures for dementia research in the financial year 2023/24 are not yet available for UKRI.
