Question to the Ministry of Defence:
To ask Her Majesty’s Government what continuing military assistance they are providing in Afghanistan; in what form; and where.
This question was answered on 24th February 2015
The UK is providing around 470 non-combat troops to the NATO Resolute Support Mission in Afghanistan. Our contribution is focused principally on mentoring at the Afghan National Army Officer Academy near Kabul and providing continuing advisory support to the Afghan security Ministries.
