Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:
To ask Her Majesty’s Government whether they have any plans to review the powers of the Chief Executive of NHS England in terms of making public policy statements.
This question was answered on 29th January 2016
NHS England is an independent body established by the Health and Social Care Act 2012. Its Chief Executive, Simon Stevens, can make public policy statements. There are no plans to review this.
