Question to the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office:

To ask His Majesty's Government when they last discussed the formation of a peacekeeping force in Darfur with international partners, and what response they received.

The Foreign Secretary will host foreign ministers at a conference on Sudan in London on 15 April to galvanise international efforts to bring an end to the conflict and get aid to where it is needed the most. The UK continues to pursue all diplomatic avenues to press the parties into a permanent ceasefire, allow unrestricted humanitarian access, protect civilians, and commit to a sustained and meaningful peace process.
