Support from external actors to both the Sudanese Armed Forces and Rapid Support Forces is prolonging the conflict in Sudan. The UK continues to emphasise to international partners the importance of refraining from actions that continue the fighting. Countries who have influence with the parties, including those in the region, should encourage them to come to the table for a political resolution and to alleviate the suffering of the Sudanese people.
