Question to the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office:

To ask Her Majesty's Government what was the allocated budget for Bahrain from the Integrated Activity Fund in 2016-17.

​The Foreign and Commonwealth Office has funded programmes to support building effective and accountable public and judicial institutions in Bahrain. All of our work fully complies with our domestic and international human rights obligations and Her Majesty's Government standards of assurance and accountability to ensure value for money for UK taxpayers. In financial year 2016-17, £1.52 million was spent on UK expertise to Bahraini-led reform through the Conflict Stability and Security Fund. No funding was received from the Integrated Activity Fund in 2016-17.
